Urethane Supply Company Donates Nitrogen Plastic Welder to DeKalb County Technical School

Urethane Supply Company of Rainsville, AL, a worldwide innovator in the field of plastic repair and refinishing for the automotive collision repair market, is proud to announce the recent donation of a 6057-C Nitro Fuzer nitrogen plastic welder to the collision repair department of the DeKalb County Technical School in Rainsville.

Company president Kurt Lammon and head trainer John Wilburn presented the donation to collision repair instructor Tim Nance on Monday, February 8th. Lammon said “we are happy to know that the students here in DeKalb County will be exposed to the latest technology in automotive plastic repair – the nitrogen plastic welder. Fewer than 20% of all the body shops in the US have this technology—the leading edge shops. Graduates of Mr. Nance’s curriculum will have the skills to go anywhere and make money using this equipment.”

Urethane Supply Company was the first to commercialize nitrogen plastic welding in the automotive collision repair industry in 2006. Repairing plastic as opposed to replacing it allows body shops to make more profit and the insurers to save money, benefiting the consumer in the long run.

“However, the best equipment is worthless without a skilled technician to operate it,” said Lammon. “That’s why we’re proud to support Mr. Nance and the DeKalb County Technical School in their effort to elevate the technical skill level of its graduates for the betterment of all.”
